With People at  Heart

Home holds the routines, relationships and familiar things that matter. If dementia is making everyday life harder, Leelin Healthcare can help you explore support at home, from personal care and meals to companionship. We listen to the person receiving care and those involved in their support. Start with a free initial assessment.

Dementia care in Milton Keynes

What people say about our care

Care around the person

You are more than a diagnosis. We take time to understand your daily routine, the things you enjoy and how you prefer to be supported. Tell us what feels familiar, what can be unsettling and what helps communication. Your care plan brings these details together so support reflects the person, as well as their care needs.

Help with daily routines

Support can include washing, dressing, preparing meals and everyday tasks, together with company and conversation. We discuss where help is needed and what the person wants to keep doing for themselves. Personal care is planned around privacy, preferences and the pace that suits them. The agreed care plan sets out the support to be provided.

Visiting or live-in care?

Visiting care provides support at agreed times. Live-in care means a carer lives in the home to provide the support set out in the care plan. We assess which arrangements could meet your needs, including any help required overnight. Live-in care does not mean one carer works continuously: rest breaks and cover must be planned.

Supporting the family

Arranging care for someone you love can bring many questions. Tell us about the support already in place and where family members need help. We involve the person receiving care and discuss how those supporting them should be included. Before care starts, we agree how to raise concerns, share relevant information and review the arrangements together.

When needs change

A care plan needs to reflect the support someone needs now. Tell us about changes in daily routines, mobility, personal care or overnight needs so the arrangements can be reviewed. We assess whether the proposed care can meet those needs safely. If additional or different support is needed, we discuss the available options with you.

What will care cost?

The initial care assessment is free. Ongoing costs depend on the agreed visits or live-in arrangements and the support required. We discuss your care plan, costs and a suitable start date before care begins. Ask what is included, how cover is arranged and what happens if your needs change, so you can make an informed decision.

For advice alongside arranging care, the Milton Keynes Dementia Information and Support Service supports people with dementia, people with memory concerns and their carers. Its Alzheimer’s Society staff provide information, practical advice and groups. The council’s service listing explains how to contact them. This is a separate service from Leelin’s home care.

You don’t need all the answers to take the first step.

Tell us what is becoming difficult and what a good day at home looks like for you. Your initial care assessment is free. We will explore the support you need and agree your care plan, costs and a suitable start date before care begins.

We mainly support people in MK postcode areas. If you live outside the MK postcode area, you are welcome to enquire. Our team will assess the available options with you.
